A mother is claiming drunk fans pushed her eight-year-old cancer survivor daughter down the stairs at her first NFL match on Sunday (1 December).

Football fans can get rowdy, there's no doubt about that, but some fans of the Buffalo Bills have been slammed online for the way they apparently interacted with a pediatric cancer survivor.

Mikey DeCamilla, who was in attendance for the Bills game against the San Francisco 49ers, took to Facebook to share her experience.

The post saw pictures of Mia, who had embryonal sarcoma, standing with a sign that reads: 'I Beat Cancer! My First NFL Game!'

Mikey captioned the post with: "Sadly we left earlier than planned. Yes, the Niners are losing, but unfortunately we had to deal with the police because a drunk Bills fan decides it was cool to pass my husband and I and pushed our eight year old daughter Warrior Mia DeCamilla (down the stairs, in section 312!)."

The mother added: "If you are this type of Bills Mafia fan please unfollow our family now.!!!!! Also, I hope the a**hole who thought it was cool to push a kid that stood in the cold with her cancer free sign was so worth your win!"

The terrible story has quickly gone viral on social media, with many people sharing it on Twitter and Facebook.

A GoFundMe set up by Mia's family while she was fighting cancer has resurfaced, with close to $25,000 raised at the time of writing.

Explaining Mia's backstory, the GoFundMe stated: "Mid January 2022, Mia was diagnosed with Childhood undifferentiated embryonal sarcoma of the liver. Mia completed 4 months of presurgery chemo. On May 23rd, 2022 Mia had a 12 hour long surgery to resect her liver. Mia then followed surgery with 8 weeks of chemo to finally reach remission on July 25th.

"To ease the family of financial stress and make each day a bit easier to pay for food in hospital, fuel, bills, mortgage, I am asking for any donations that are all so very appreciated.

"While we as outsiders feel helpless and can't do a lot to support the family, this is the biggest and best way we can support them and help them through this journey once again."

Kate Glaser, a journalist who covers the Buffalo area, shared the mother's original video and said: "The Bills have also reached out to provide Mia a better stadium experience with a future visit."

UNILAD has also reached out to the Buffalo Bills and the NFL Press office for comment.
