A man who grew suspicious about whether his daughter was biologically his or not ended up finding about more than he bargained for.
Many children will bare some resemblance to their biological parents when they grow up. For example, Reese Witherspoon's daughter is the double of her actress mother, while Jack Nicholson's son, Ray - who recently starred in the new Smile movie - also bares much likeness to his celebrity dad.
But one dad in Vietnam had increasing concerns about his daughter who he thought was 'too pretty' to be his.

The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, moved to Ho Chi Minh City with his wife, Hong, and their young daughter, Lan, some years ago.
But as Lan grew up, her father started to speculate if she looked anything like him.
He couldn't shake off his doubts and ultimately had a DNA test that confirmed that his teenage daughter wasn't his.

Understandably devastated, the man became withdrawn from his family and reportedly turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism, Hindustan Times said.
Eventually he confronted his wife about it and she denied that she'd ever been unfaithful to him.
Hong went on to leave her husband with their daughter and relocated to another city. Upon doing so, Lan started a new school.

It was then that the pieces of the puzzle finally started to come together.
Lan befriended someone new at the school, who coincidentally had the same birthday as her as was also born in the same hospital.
With their birthdays being on the same day, the two girls decided to have a joint birthday party. It's here where their respective parents met one another.
It turned out that Lan had a striking resemblance to her friend's mom. After discussions, the two families decided to have DNA tests which confirmed their worst fears - that their daughters had seemingly been mixed up at birth.

As per South China Morning Post, the two families now spend a lot of time together.
It's unclear if they have any intention in taking legal action against the hospital who allegedly mixed up the two girls when they were born.
While these two girls learnt about their birth parents when they were teenagers, two women in the UK waited 50 years to have a DNA test to discover they were switched at birth.

The apparent mistake happened after both babies were placed in a hospital nursery after being born and later handed back to the wrong mothers.
