While it's usually boomers and Gen X that are usually complaining that they don't understand Gen Z, this time it's Gen Z sharing what they don't understand about older generations.
If you're anything like me, you'll have no idea what years each apparent generation spans from, so let us clear that up first.
The Baby Boom Generation is those born around 1946 - 1964, while Gen X is 1965 - 1979.
Then there's Millennials (AKA those without the internet during childhood), and they were born between 1981 and 1996.

1996 to the early 2010s babies are Gen Z, and it's this generation that many would describe as somewhat 'woke'.
With their woke-ness and generally doing this 'for the gram' (as the kids would say) in mind, it's usually the older generations that have things to say about Gen Z-ers.
For example, one trend that's grinding people's gears is Gen Z's need to take photographs of their things laid out in a tray before it goes through security at the airport.

But BuzzFeed recently turned the tables and asked Gen Zers what it is that they don't understand about their elders - older women in particular.
One person said: "I don't understand why they don't love themselves more. I look up to some older women in my life, as they've faced hard shit and still have the courage to live another day."
A second wrote: "Older women, what is it about Lin-Manuel Miranda that you love so much? I know he's an incredible composer. But let's be real, his singing and acting are OK. Why are we so obsessed with him?"
I think they question they should be asking themselves is why are they not so obsessed with the songwriter.

A third person told the outlet: "[I don't understand] why some older women [are] rude and entitled towards service industry workers."
Someone else pondered why some women from older generations 'put up with so much crap from their husbands'.
"[I feel like older women] don’t give grace to younger women," penned a different person.

"They expect you to know all the life lessons as if they weren’t young once… and they expect you to have it all figured out."
But there weren't all deep responses; someone else simply said that they don't understand older women's haircuts.
If low-rise jeans are back in fashion, who says perms won't make a comeback in the near future too?
