When you think of the singers from Oasis, the Mancunian icons from the 1990s are pretty set in most people's minds.
Noel and Liam made it big with the iconic band from the early 90s right up until the noughties, before the group disbanded in 2009.
Oasis went on to write generation defining tracks which, along with Mr Brightside by The Killers, it's impossible to not know the words to even if you're not a fan.

Since their inception, decades' worth of pub open mic nights have been menaced by that infamous phrase: 'Anyway, here's Wonderwall.'
Those words herald either a moment where everyone can share a warm moment singing along, or the perfect time to go for a wee and/or a smoke, depending on who you ask.
As for the brothers themselves, Noel was born in 1967 and went on to form Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds after leaving Oasis.
Liam is the younger sibling, born in 1972, and formed Beady Eye after Oasis came to an end.

But one Oasis Singer was born much earlier.
This Oasis Singer was actually born in the 90s. That is of course the 1890s.
To find out more about them we have to take a look at the New York State census from 1905.

On the census we have one family with six individuals listed on the census.
These are Simon, 45, Sarah, 42, Dora, 22, Irshel, 22, Chera, 17, and Oasis, 10.
You have probably guessed where this is going by this point.
Yes, the surname of this family which lived in New York state in 1905 was indeed 'Singer'.

So, given that Oasis was 10-years-old in 1905, they were born in 1895.
The name was shared to Twitter by account @ActualNames1.
People shared their thoughts in the comments, with one writing: "It says in his obituary that he used to tell his close ones to not look back in anger."

Another wrote: "What's the story behind this name, morning glory?", while a third posted: "He just wanted to talk tonight."
Of course, the census in New York is full of fascinating stories from history due to the huge numbers of people whose first glimpse of the New World was in New York.
The 1900s saw a huge influx of Polish and Italian Catholics into New York, as well as Eastern European Jews.
They joined people from all over the world including the Indian Subcontinent, China, Greece, the Ottoman Empire which covered modern day Turkey and the Levant, the Caribbean, and Central Africa, all drawn to New York.
It's not clear exactly who Oasis Singer was, but they may have lived in a growing multicultural melting pot.
Anyway, here's Wonderwall.
