People have been left fuming at some holiday makers behavior when they get to the hotel pool

You have saved money up to finally go on that dreamy relaxing holiday abroad and you have sure earnt it.

You just want to be able to have a good nights rest and go hang out by the pool in the sun, order some drinks and get through your book but there is a problem.

There are no pool chairs available, even though the sun has just come up and there are actually no one actually at the pool yet.

One annoying practice that has got people talking on social media is people leaving their towels on chairs to reserve them for hours or even the day.

On Reddit one user shared an image showing a whole row of beds taken with towels and stated that it was only 7 A.M. (Krytykx2/Reddit)

On Reddit one user shared an image showing a whole row of beds taken with towels and stated that it was only 7 A.M.

The picture, shared by user Krytykx2 on May 30, already has over 28,000 up votes and many people have been laying into the tourists for the faux pas, with many calling them ‘selfish’.

“This is the equivalent of someone standing in a car parking spot to hold it for someone whos not there yet... Last time I checked. These things are first come first serve,” wrote one frustrated user.

“I'm with you on free seats. It would take all my power not to remove every single down and toss them together in a pile somewhere. If anyone asks a hotel staff did it,” commented another who was sick of this behavior.

While many were annoyed by the move, some remarked they didn’t consider it much of a big deal. (Getty Stock Image)

“Hotels should not allow this to happen. At the hotel I went to they had a system where they’d allow you to reserve it for 30mins in case you went to the toilet or popped to your room or got some food or drink. But after that they took the towels off. I’d never go to a hotel that has a free for all policy. It’s just so selfish,” wrote another.

"I went to a hotel last year where at around 8.30, staff came, folded up all the towels and put them on a rack.No saving seats allowed," commented another who explained how a hotel dealt with this problem.

While many were annoyed by the move, some remarked they didn’t consider it much of a big deal. Not that they agreed with the move, just that the towel owners couldn’t do much about it if you sat there.

Which is a pretty fair point, one person even joked: "I don’t see any issue, just free towels and empty seats."
