A six-year-old girl from New Jersey has been inducted into Mensa.
Declan Lopez from New Jersey has an extremely high IQ, weighing in at an incredible 138.
This is around the level of Albert Einstein, meaning that she is extremely gifted.
Her parents first noticed that she was displaying a high intelligence when they were at the airport.

Declan's mom Meachel Lopez told ABC: "We were on a trip in the airport, and she just started to count in Mandarin."
Nonetheless, her parents are keen for her to still be a child and not pile on pressure.
Meachel said: "I want her to laugh and joke and make mistakes and do things that 6-year-olds do."
And as for Declan herself, she is already learning a lot about the world around her even at just six.

She said: "I'm interested in arts, science, math and geography.
"My favorite thing to learn is a force in motion."
And it's not just Declan, but her younger brother Maddox appears to be going down the same path as his big sister.

Now, the family is trying to figure out if the high IQ runs in the family.
And Declan's parents added that their new best friends are now Alexa and Google as their children are asking them about so many things that they don't know the answer to.
While high IQ is one indicator of high intelligence, it is far from being a perfect or absolute way of determining how smart someone is.
One criticism is that human intelligence is an incredibly complex and nuanced thing. A person might be very gifted at one thing, but not another.

It becomes even more complicated when referring to children, as children’s brains work differently to those of an adult.
Some argue that an IQ score is not an objective measure of intelligence, but simply a measure of someone’s ability to take an IQ test.
Nonetheless, this hasn’t stopped the IQ test from being widely used as an indicator of intelligence.

Many celebrities have also been touted as having high IQs.
These include Natalie Portman, who in addition to her roles in Star Wars, Black Swan, and Thor has also published in two separate scientific journals.
There is also pop star Shakira, whose IQ reportedly clocks in at 140.
