A man who became paralyzed when he was 20 years old has joined his fiancée in explaining how they're intimate with one another.

Amber and Neven

Neven Hart lives with his fiancée, Amber, in Southern California, and was 20 years old when he became paralyzed from the waist down in a dirt bike accident.

He now uses a wheelchair, and Amber has been sharing insights into life as a person who has lost the use of their legs.

The couple regularly answer questions from viewers on TikTok, and last month the pair answered a question that a lot of people were probably curious about, but many were too shy to ask.

That question was, of course, "How does a paralyzed person do the deed?"

Amber said 'a lot' of people were curious about this particular topic so they decided to share a video for 'education' - though she advised family members who might be watching to look away.

Getting started

The couple then got into the nitty gritty, with Neven explaining how he uses an injectable substance in the base of his penis to allow him to get an erection.

Amber later added that the injectable was not covered by insurance, and cost $180 for two small vials.

Positions

They then moved on to positions, with Neven jokingly describing himself as a 'pillow princess' before pointing out that he is able to get into positions other than being on the bottom.

The couple said that the idea that Neven had to by lying down was 'far from the truth', explaining that they'd picked up advice from the rehabilitation facility where Neven was treated after his accident.

Neven showed viewers a chair known as the 'intimate rider', which moves back and forth to create motion for those using it.

"You just move your neck, and it'll move," he explained.

The chair cost $550, according to Neven, though he said it was 'worth every penny'.

The couple admitted that between the injections and the chair, the total cost to do the deed was 'quite expensive', but they pointed out that's 'just the way it goes'.

The response

Neven admitted he hadn't expected to make a video showing off his tips to have sex, but stressed that if it 'helps another guy', then it would be worth it.

Speaking to Buzzfeed News, Amber explained the reason to share the explainer came about because there was 'no information' on the topic of sex when Neven first got injured.

"Knowing what we know now, we are posting this information so we can help other young couples or individuals who are going through the same thing," she added.

The couple have been widely praised for their decision to be so open and educational about their relationship, with many pointing out just how important it is.

One viewer wrote: "I have never seen this topic on the internet, this is so important. Thanks for sharing."

Another highlighted how the videos were helped them, writing: "Thanks for the videos. My boyfriend is recently paralyzed and we are in the learning process!"
