Experts have revealed some of the most common dreams people have and what they really mean.
After waking up, there's a good chance that you'll remember a dream you had - whether it was really weird and interesting or not.
And it turns out that people can have anywhere between three to seven dreams per night, however, it's extremely unlikely that you'll remember them all.
The ones you do remember are likely to have themes that you've experienced before - and there could be a reason that you're having them.

There's a host of common dreams that people may have, and experts have debunked what they could mean...
Falling
Have you ever had that super strange sensation of falling in your dream and waking yourself up? Turns out you're not alone as dreams of this nature are pretty common.
In regards to what it might mean, sleep expert Dr Deborah Lee told MailOnline: "You may dream of falling if there is any fear of failure such as worries of failing at work, losing money, the falling stock market, or worries of a failing business."

If you fell from a great height specifically, this could be an indicator that you have a big decision to make.
Meanwhile, if you woke up before hitting the ground in your dream, then Dr Lee said that 'this may be a good sign as it symbolises you took action in the nick of time and avoided a catastrophe'.
Teeth falling out
This is another common dream people have and it might have different meanings for different people. One typical reason is if you've recently suffered a loss.

Dream interpreter and analyst Jane Teresa Anderson said: "Generally people feel a sense of irremediable loss of their teeth in these dreams.
"The dreamer might be feeling or navigating a sense of loss in life, or have concerns about their image - because what’s a smile with missing teeth?"
Cheating on your partner
Whether you want to admit it or not, we've all had this dream at some point in our lives.

Mine usually involve Henry Cavill, if we're all sharing...
While you'd presume that it means that your relationship might be in trouble, this isn't always the case as it could also signal that something else in your life is missing, says MailOnline.
Relationship wise though, Lauri Loewenberg, a certified dream analyst, suggested it's down to guilt.

She told Women's Health: "I have found the main reason you cheat in your dreams is because - deep down - you have guilt or concern about something you’re doing that is taking away from the time you should be putting into the relationship."
