The Hawk Tuah girl is certainly putting her money where her mouth is as she takes steps to save a business selling her merchandise.

In the shortest space of time, Haliey Welch, also known as the Hawk Tuah girl, has shot to national notoriety.

It was only a month ago that Welch went viral on TikTok for her response after her laughter-inducing response to a question from content creators Tim & Dee TV.

Just so we are all on the same page, 25-year-old Tim Dickerson and 24-year-old DeArius Marlow, AKA Tim & Dee, asked Haliey: "What’s one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?"

Her reply: "You gotta give ’em that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thing, you get me?"

Yep. The internet and the world definitely got her.

In fact, If it wasn’t for this video, it is unlikely people would be using the phrase 'Hawk Tuah’ to refer to oral sex. What a shame that would be.

After the video blew up, sure enough, the merch started being produced and flying off shelves. Welch has gone into business with Fathead Threads, a family-owned business run by Jason Poteete and based in Marshall County, Tennessee.

However, the business came into issues and Welch came to the rescue, according to Poteete.

He said that Welch loaned his company $10,000 after the company ran into a problem with PayPal.

According to a TMZ report, despite the hats with the phrase selling super well, the majority of the $190,000 in sales were locked up in a PayPal account.

Poteete claimed that PayPal was convinced that he was running a fraudulent business due to the massive number of sales over such a short period.

Due to this, he added that he didn’t have the money to fulfil the outstanding orders, only having access to around $2,000 from the account, according to him.

He said he then told Welch about the situation last Friday (5 July) and she offered the loan to keep things trucking along. Which makes sense since she gets a share of the profits from the sales due to their partnership.

Poteete says the gesture overwhelmed him with joy and since the loan things have been moving much smoother.

He has also said that PayPal have finally given him $90,000 in earnings but he hopes to still get access to the money locked up in the account.
