A decade ago, avid hiker and YouTuber Kenny Veach went on what would be his last expedition into the Nevada desert to revisit a cave near Area 51 that had he had seen just once before.
In a video posted to his channel just weeks before, the Las Vegas resident explained how the entrance to this mysterious cave was shaped like the letter 'M', and how he had felt and heard vibrations coming from it.

The experienced hiker had trekked through the Nevada desert dozens of times before. In fact, speaking in a vlog he uploaded to YouTube, he spoke candidly about this cave he had come across.
"I solo hike across mountain tops that most people wouldn’t dare go. I have been in more caves than I can count. I play with rattlesnakes for fun. But this one particular cave was beyond anything I had ever encountered," he said.
As mentioned previously, it was close to Area 51, or, to give it its official name, the 'Nevada Test and Training Range', which is now used as a training range for the US Air Force - although it is regularly rumored to house a great deal of information about unidentified flying objects.
Over the years, people have even claimed that it has even harbored aliens and unearthly spacecrafts.

Anyway, back to the 47-year-old's plan to see this 'vibrating' cave once again.
Unlike other expeditions, his girlfriend Sheryon Pilgrim noted how he wasn't as coordinated as usual, leaving without a lot of his gear - including his camera, which she stated proved he had 'no intention of filming anything'.
Taking to YouTube following his disappearance, as conspiracy theories began to circulate, she commented under one of his videos about his potential whereabouts.

She introduced herself as 'the girlfriend that Kenny spoke of in the video' before explaining how prepared Veach was for every trip into the 'beautiful' Nevada landscape, saying it was his 'very, very favorite thing to do'.
"I want you to know that I do not think Kenny had an accident. I believe he committed suicide. He battled depression for many years, and would not take medication or see a doctor. He quit his job a little more than a year before he disappeared," Pilgrim wrote.
She went on to explain how a business idea of his had failed, and he didn't want to work for anyone else. She also revealed she had asked Veach whether he would ever kill himself, having witnessed his father do the same.
Pilgrim recalled him saying to her 'if I decide to do it, you will be OK because you are good at the Law of Allowing', before adding 'no one will ever find me'.

He set off on a solo expedition that was supposed to last three days and two nights, but on the third day, when he wasn't answering the phone, Pilgrim reported him missing.
"Over 30 search and rescue team members searched 3 different times on foot. One helicopter fly over was done and there was no trace of Kenny or any of his camping things," she explained.
"They found his car in the area I told them it would be. They did find his cell phone by the mine shaft in the video. The mine shaft was only about a 4-hour hike from his car.

"It is my feeling he left it behind so that he could not be tracked form the GPS in it. He also did not take his video camera with him on this solo hike. It was left in his home. So, he had no intention of filming anything."
