A West Philadelphia man has chosen an unconventional route to find a date.

We all have our methods to try and find love, whether it be the more modern way of using dating apps such as Tinder, or the traditional route of meeting people out and about.

However, many don't typically resort to a billboard in a bid to find that special someone.

But that's exactly what 28-year-old Dave Cline has done.

The data manager forked out over $1,000 to rent a billboard which he hopes will lead to the single life being well and truly behind him.

WPVI reports the large sign currently sits in his local neighborhood, and it's certainly unique.

It features a large image of Dave smiling with his thumbs up, while his cat also makes an appearance.

I mean, having a pet on your Tinder profile typically helps, so you can see what Dave is doing here.

Alongside the pics, a slogan on the billboard reads: "Want to go on a DATE with Dave?"

The sign also lists some 'fast facts' about Dave, which he hopes will make him stand out from the crowd.

Apparently, he 'can cook (well)' and has 'normal hobbies' - whatever that means in 2024!

Well, it appears the unconventional method of finding love - which 'was just supposed to be funny for the most part' - has somewhat worked as Dave revealed he's had some messages since the billboard went up.

He wrote on Instagram: "It may shock you to know, but the guy who bought a billboard as a funny hehe haha really is actually 100% single.

“If you live in Philadelphia (or anywhere with central AC) feel free to send me a message!

"My only request is that if you want to reach out, I’d appreciate it if you didn’t send me spam, threats, or anything weird!

"I have literally no idea if this will be popular at all or totally forgettable in 2 days, so just have fun and feel free to ask me out."

Dave added: "I’m glad I could bring joy to the people of this city. I can feel it healing. Mayor Cherelle Parker called me on my landline and told me she is resigning.

"She said there isn’t going to be a mayor anymore and that 'really chill vibes and a some beers' will be the new leader of Philadelphia."

As per WPVI, he also has a date is in the works.

    Good luck, Dave!
