Men on $18K 'alpha male boot camp' ridiculed for spending so much on it as clip goes viral

The boot camp encourages men to 'become the husband, father and man that you respect and admire'

Would you be willing to spend thousands of dollars to get yelled at?

I can't say I would, but then I'm not all that bothered about becoming a 'modern day knight'.

There are some people who do have that goal though, and that's where the Modern Day Knight (MDK) Project comes in.

Located in Chino Hills, California, MDK Project is a boot camp which offers men who are 'seriously ready and tired of making excuses' a chance to 'become the husband, father and man that you respect and admire.'

It's only available to 'Entrepreneurs, Executives and Leaders who are ready for a serious BREAKTHROUGH', and comes with a hefty price tag of $18,000.

While those conditions are limiting, there are men out there who fit the bill and are willing to pay to try and improve themselves - but what does that $18k get you?

Well, according to one video of the project, it gets you yelled at.

The men have their work cut out for them at the boot camp.

The now-viral clip shows a group of wannabe knights sitting in a room together while the instructor stands at the front and warns them that they better be ready for what's to come

“I see it in your f***ing eyes, that most of you don’t look like you belong here," he says.

“I’ll be damned, I’ll take this f***ing knife off my f***ing waist and carve this f***ing tattoo off my f***ing hand before I let any of you f***ing b****es show up here on Friday for your graduation."

He also bangs his knife on the table, just for good measure.

The clip was shared online and described as an 'alpha male camp', though the viral post actually inaccurately stated that the boot camp was only $10,000.

Even at that price, viewers were left baffled at to why anyone would be willing to hand over so much money for such an experience.

The Modern Day Knight Project lasts 75 hours in total.

"10k for 3 days? they literally could've watched a few youtube videos and headed to the gym for like £20," one viewer wrote.

Another added: "we used to hunt mammoths now people are paying 10k to someone to teach them how to be a man."

One sceptical viewer also questioned: "Can courage, integrity, sincerity, and leadership be taught in 3 days? Cause I feel like half that sh*t can't be taught, especially in 72 hours."

X users were baffled as to why people would pay.

There's more to MDK Project than what's shown in the clip; according to the boot camp's website, it involves both physical and mental challenges which are designed to 'shatter your self-doubt and limiting beliefs' and help people 'gain clarity in your life’s work and purpose'.

It also aims to help people 'heal from trauma that makes you feel broken and unworthy' and 'dig deep into your past and uncover the experiences that are holding you back from achieving greater levels of success in your life'.

While those results might still not be enough to convince people, MDK Project obviously appeals to a lot of men, evidenced by the fact all of the previous boot camps have sold out, according to the website.

One man who completed the project said they left with 'enough force and clarity and confidence [...] to take on whatever was ahead'.

So while the camp might not be for everyone, I guess it's just what some men need to get a new lease of life!
