Plane passenger stunned after sitting next to couple getting very close together on flight

The passenger told his followers he couldn't 'believe' the sight on the plane next to him

A passenger on board a four-hour flight was left baffled by the sight of a couple engaging in some serious PDA across the aisle.

While there are obviously a lot of people who find a thrill in joining the mile-high club, I wouldn't necessarily say planes are the most romantic places in the world.

Most of the time when you're on them you're tired from travelling, squished into a tiny seat and surrounded by the smells of food and people around you - not exactly an idyllic atmosphere.

But that didn't stop one couple from cosying up to one another during their flight, which they shared with another passenger who couldn't resist snapping photos of the scene in front of them.

The photos were shared on X by a user who goes by the name Flea on the platform, giving his followers an insight to what he said was his point of view from where he sat, one row back and across the aisle from the unidentified couple.

The flight must have had a few spare seats, because the loved-up couple had taken it upon themselves to lie down across their entire row, curled up together with their feet sticking out towards the aisle.

To make themselves even more comfortable, the couple had both taken off their socks and shoes, leaving their feet bare as they rubbed them across the seats and tray tables.

If it sounds baffling, it's because it is, and Flea admitted that he couldn't 'believe' the view he had on the plane.

"It was like this the whole 4 hour flight," he wrote alongside some laughing emojis.

Flea's post has racked up more than 21 million views at the time of writing (11 April) as fellow X users shared in his shock

One horrified viewer responded: "Why is everyone barefoot? This is rude, disgusting, filthy, unsanitary, unsafe, and a few other words I will refrain from saying."

Another commented: "Barefoot on a plane is nasty work."

But while a lot of people agreed that the couple should have probably put some socks on, there were some people on X who admitted they were envious of the couple's close relationship.

"they locked in they’re own world and don’t give a f**k about yall," one person wrote, adding: "goals."

Another wrote: "i want whatever they have."

It seems pretty clear that the couple were happy enough, and I suppose they weren't hurting anyone with their cosy set up - other than offending people with their bare feet, of course.
