People have been absolutely split down the middle about who is at fault after a skier and snowboarder crashed on the slopes.
Ever since the first snowboarders took to the slopes in the 1960s, skiers and snowboarders have been at each other's throats, sometimes even coming to blows.
Though the feud has died down in recent years, people are deferring to clan loyalties again after a video of a particular nasty crash went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter - with skiers and snowboarders debating who is at fault.

Prepare to wince as you watch the crash unfold below:
The video, which is captured from an angle in front of snowboarder, has been viewed over 25 million times on X, just over a day after it was uploaded.
In it, the snowboarder can seen enjoying a nice glide down the slopes, before a skier comes out of nowhere and collides with him.

To be honest, it looks as though the collision is just an unfortunate incident, though many X users have, of course, had their say.
"Skier or Snowboarder’s Fault?!" the X account who posted the video asked.
"Skier obviously. When you hit someone from the back, you are at fault," one user commented.

"The uphill skier has an obligation to avoid those below him," a second added.
While a third remarked: "Skier 100%. Skier was uphill of her before he hit her (he could see her whereas she could not see him).
"She was riding a line on one side of the hill and was in a toe side turn when skier recklessly slammed into her back."
"Principally, it’s always the snowboarder's fault…" a person on the other side of the fence penned.

While others commented on how they thought no one was at fault for the incident.
It comes after Gwyneth Paltrow was involved in her own skiing drama.
In 2016, Paltrow was involved in an incident with retired optometrist Terry Sanderson at Deer Valley resort.

He alleged the actor crashed into him and caused him significant injuries.
As a result, the two parties battled it out in court in March 2023, with Sanderson claiming Paltrow's 'reckless' skiing landed him with four broken ribs and brain damage.
He was seeking damages of $30,000 after he dropped a previous claim for $3.1 million.
The trial lasted eight days, with Paltrow winning and being awarded her requested $1 in damages.
