Rather than simply sliding into a girl's DMs, this guy asked his girlfriend to prom in a very imaginative way.
Gavin Gallig, from Findlay, Ohio, seemed to take inspiration from medieval England when he asked his girlfriend Gianna Masterlasco to be his prom date.
And he didn't do it alone; Gavin recruited his pals RJ Coldren, Ethan Bauer, and Damon Gasser to help him ask Gianna the big question.
They appeared at the door of the 17-year-old's family home sporting blonde wigs with a stuffed riding horse in tow, while Gavin wore a red cloak and crown.

One of the guys played a trumpet to announce Gavin's arrival as he and two others galloped in front of the house.
Jumping down from the 'horse', Gavin's friend held up a large scroll and announced: "Hear ye, Hear ye. Sir Gavin Gillig, son of Sir Trevor Gillig, first of his name, destroyer of porcelain, tamer of the beast Chewbacca, slayer of the bucks and scourge of all those things that smell nice and clean, cordially invites you, Miss Gianna Masterlasco, to the royal gala filled with fun fellowship and fellow acquaintances on 6 May 2023, the year of our lord."
Fortunately Gavin and his pal's efforts weren't in vain as Gianna said yes to his prom proposal and was handed the scroll and a crown.

The hilarious proposal was caught on camera by Gianna's dad, Patrick, who could be heard laughing the whole way through the video.
While it looked like the group of teenagers had been planning the performance for a while, apparently they only rehearsed it all once.
Patrick told Newsflare: "Got a text to open the front door and was not expecting this. They had one rehearsal and decided to just go for it.
"The messenger also just said everything from his head because he had no script to read! The costuming and little details add it all!"

The hilarious skit took place last year, but is still doing the round on social media to this day.
Replying to the resurfaced clip that was shared on X in recent days, one person penned: "They all know how to make her feel really special.
"That's what girls want most—just make her feel like she deserves all the happiness in the world."

Joining them in applauding the teenagers' innovative idea, another wrote: "That's epic, taking it back to the days of chivalry and grand gestures. Legit sounds like a fairytale moment."
"It’s the father’s laugh for me," chuckled another.
A different person, who stuck with the medieval theme, added: "Mighty good fellas… glad to seeth the good humor passeth on to the scholars of this generation."
Someone else continued: "BRING back chivalry! Love this!"

A* for effort, boys.
