Tesla owners appear to have gone to extreme lengths to distance themselves from Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
Musk is the CEO of Telsa, and his new buddy Trump recently bought one of the electric vehicles.
The expensive purchase has baffled some as the POTUS can't actually drive the 'beautiful' car for himself.

That's not because Trump refuses to get behind the wheel though, but because presidents aren't allowed to drive.
However, the 78-year-old does have permission to drive on private property, so Trump could razz it around his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida should he wish.
In light of Trump and Musk's unexpected relationship (both personal and professional), those who aren't their biggest fans but own a Tesla appear to have found unique ways to distance themselves from them.

How, I hear you ask? By pretending their Teslas aren't Teslas.

In photos shared to Reddit, one person with a Cybertruck - an unmissable type of Tesla - stuck a large Toyota sticker across the back of it.
Someone else with what appears to be a Model 3 popped Mazda signage on their car.
Social media users have since shared their thoughts on people's creativity.
Speaking about the black EV with the Mazda logo, one said: "That’s incredible. I never would have questioned the Mazda. If I had a Tesla I would absolutely do that mod."

A second echoed: "I was going to say, I wouldn’t even question the Mazda."

"That Mazda badge is wild how well it works," added a third.
Discussing the Cybertruck snap, another person penned: "The Toyota one is pretty funny."

A different Reddit user wrote: "The Toyota cyber truck got a laugh out of me. No one is going to believe that is a Toyota."
Meanwhile, others empathized with the Tesla drivers' decision to 'rebrand' their vehicles.
"Honestly, the message is there, though," one said. "There's no telling what's going on with the person driving the car, but they are afraid and/or are trying to demonstrate that they aren't proud of their purchase."
They went on: "There's plenty of people who own Teslas. Don't harass them.
"That said, if you do drive one, it would probably be advisable to be the most courteous driver on the road. There's a lot of angry people out there and the last thing any of us need is more aggression out there."
