The US Open's 'Beer Girl' has spoken out after not making an appearance on the big screen this year.
Megan Lucky, a certified yoga teacher, life coach, and host of A Lucky Life podcast, went viral after chugging a pint of beer at the 2021 US Open - the act captured on camera and shown on the big screen.
In 2022, Lucky went again, downing a pint in the same seven seconds and 37 milliseconds - her stint seeing her gain recognition online, becoming known as 'Beer Girl'.

However, not everyone may have been a fan of her antics, with Lucky failing to make the cut on the big screen at the tennis tournament this year despite the US Open previously sharing footage of her from the previous two years on Instagram.
Well, Beer Girl has since had her say:
Taking to her Instagram, Lucky addressed 'the elephant in the room' - not making the cut on the big screen for the third year running.

She said: "Obviously went to the US Open this past weekend and for whatever reason, whoever was in charge did not want me on the jumbotron (big screen) this year. I don't know their reasons, they didn't share them with me. But I still had a lot of fun and I'm at peace with it.
"I know the universe has a plan for me and as I said before, 'Beer Girl' is a part of me and maybe I'll take her to another sport that wants some of her fun loving energy soon. So look out for that. As for now, this is not the end, this is only the beginning of a new era."
Fans of the 'Beer Girl' have flocked to the post in similar confusion to the yoga teacher.

One Instagram user wrote: "I mean, what the hell could the reasoning possibly have been? You (and the beer) ARE U.S. Open Tennis!"
Another added: "Dang was looking forward to seeing 3.0 beer chug."
A third commented: "Breaking News: U. S. Open ratings plummet as Beer Girl not featured in fan awaited Three-Peat! We love you Megan!!!"
However, others suggested the Lucky's beer chugging is getting a bit old.

One user said: "Honestly has run its course."
And another resolved: "To be honest I felt it would have been forced. If I’m gonna wanna see you on the Jumbotron, it just needs to feel genuine. Like go to the US open to watch the match, not cause you want to be shown chugging a beer."
UNILAD has contacted the US Open for comment.
