A woman has revealed the 'truth' about a viral news report that saw her struck by a car.
Anyone who works in the media will tell you that just about anything can happen on live TV, and Tori Yorgey knows this first hand.
In 2022, former West Virginia's WSAZ-TV news reporter Tori was reporting on severe weather alert from Dunbar while chatting to Tim Irr, who was in the studio.

Just before she was about to start speaking, a silver truck drove into her and knocked Tori, then 25, to the ground.
"Oh my God, I just got hit by a car but I'm OK," she told Tim.
"That's a first for you on TV, Tori," the news anchor replied as she continued to reassure viewers that she was alright and wasn't badly injured.

"That's live TV for you," she went on to say as she shrugged of the scary ordeal.
Tori was also heard telling the woman who truck her that she was alright in the three-year-old news report.
The video went viral afterwards and Tori recently marked the 'anniversary' of the incident.

Taking to Instagram to reshare clip, Tori penned: "Shoutout to cousin Mikey for reminding me yesterday was my ‘anniversary’ of this gem."
In light of Tim appearing 'non empathetic' to her situation, Tori felt she had to explain something.
She continued: "Since so many of you are seeing this for the first time, please note that Tim could NOT SEE ME in the studio."
Replying to her Instagram post shared last month, one person said she 'took it like a champ'.

Someone else echoed: "Your level of professionalism and moving through a crisis is stunning. Glad you are okay!!!!"

Following her viral stardom, Tori chatted with NBC News about the ordeal and recalled what happened.
"I was the face of the woman driving the car - she was mortified," the journalist said at the time. "I felt really compelled to let her know that I am good."

The collision came shortly before Tori was set to start a new reporter gig and she feared that after her report went viral that she's be known as the woman who was hit by a car on air.
"Hopefully people don't look at me and say 'oh that's the reporter that got hit by the car," Tori shared. "I hope they look at me and, you know, they're like 'she's Tori and she's going to go out and tell impacting stories'."
