A ballet dancer was stopped mid-performance when a furious woman confronted him about dancing outside of a church.
Pro dancer Kadeem Hosein was in the middle of a stunning dance outside of St Mary's Cathedral in Sydney, when an angry woman demanded that he stop.
In the video, Kadeem, who is shirtless and wearing a long tutu, is forced to stop mid-dance when a woman approaches and asks: "Can you record somewhere else, not in front of the house of the Lord?"

Kadeem tries hard to keep the performance going while glancing over at the woman.
His friend, who is recording the video, asks her to repeat herself.
"Can you record somewhere else not in front of the house of the lord," she asks a second time.
Kadeem, maintaining his poise, replies: "Or you could just wait five minutes and I'll be finished."

But the woman isn't having it.
"No," she tells him, "this is an abomination."
When the camera swings around to capture the woman's face, she puts her hand up to the lens and says: "Don't record me."
Kadeem's friend informs her: "You're in a public space, I can record you anywhere in a public space."

Turning to leave, now that her face has been caught on camera, she tells them once more, 'that is a church', before she shakes her head in disgust and walks away.
Kadeem friend calls after her to ask: "What's wrong with it? Did God not create ballet?"
Left in peace, Kadeem sets up to begin his dance again, when an onlooker calls out to him to assure him: "We call them Karens in the US. You're stunning!"

Kadeem later uploaded the video to TikTok, and it now has more than 2.2 million views.
While most viewers were horrified to see how this woman interrupted such a beautiful moment, they were at least glad that Kadeem's video ended up on their For You Page, so they could watch his stunning performance.
"She ruined such a beautiful moment. I hope you kept on dancing," commented one fan.
"That was graceful dancing too, why does everyone feel emboldened these days to stop free expression?" asked another.

Other viewers pointed out that, even for the hyper-religious, there shouldn't be a problem with Kadeem dancing in front of a church.
"I’m not religious but I would think God would find this beautiful to have you dancing," commented one viewer.
A second agreed: "Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t there an actual scripture about honouring God by exercising your talents?"
Reacting to all the positive feedback and support, Kadeem posted a follow-up video.
"So, you know, obviously while the Karen incident was less than ideal, one good thing that came out of it was I appeared on a lot of people's For You Pages," he told his followers, both old and new.
"I think that hopefully I inspire some people like me to dance, to step out of their comfort zone to do different things. So I hope everyone can see a silver lining on this Karen-coloured cloud.
"And Karen, if you see this, thank you and I hope we meet again one day so that you can tell me off again if I'm doing something that you just don't like so that more people can become inspired."
