Adult Swim has ordered another serving of Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
Eight years after fans bid farewell to Master Shake (Dana Snyder), Frylock (Carey Means) and Meatwad (Dave Willis), the anthropomorphic fast food items will now be returning for more surreal adventures.
The network surprised fans with news of the show’s return on Wednesday (25 January) and confirmed that five brand new episodes are on the menu for the new season.

Original series creators Dave Willis and Matt Maiellaro are back to craft the new stories.
“We are thrilled to be making more Aqua Teen Hunger Force episodes for a new generation of fans, building upon the most impressive collection of IP ever assembled,” the duo said in a press release. “Success is optimal and leads to quality.”
“Congratulations!” Willis and Maiellaro added. “You waited just long enough for Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm to be free on the service your parents pay for. I can’t wait for you to discover the project everyone has been talking about, and by everyone, I mean our personal twitter accounts. There is too much stuff to watch already. Breathe, and focus exclusively on Aqua Teen. Delete everything else.”

The new season comes ahead of the release of the feature film, Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm, on HBO Max on 8 February and Adult Swim on 12 March.
The world's favourite box of fries, milkshake and ball of meat survived the HBO Max cull.
The film was first released as a direct-to-video title in November last year. It features the brainy Frylock, the mouthy Master Shake, and charming Meatwad plus their neighbour, Carl. They split up to fight corporate overlord, Amazin, led by tech mogul Neil and his scientist sidekick Elmer.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force premiered on Cartoon Network’s late night Adult animation block Adult Swim in 2000 and aired new episodes until 2015 when it was cancelled.
It’s weird humour and wacky adventures made the show a hit with viewers and it has since developed a cult following.
The double-length episode, 'The Last one Forever and Ever (For Real This Time) We F***ing Mean It)' was promoted as the series finale. But the actual last episode, 'The Greatest Story Ever Told' was the real series finale and aired a week later.
