Ana de Armas has revealed she’s in ‘pain’ after shooting fight scenes with Keanu Reeves, having been filming the new John Wick spin-off.
De Armas, 34, is starring in Ballerina, an action thriller in the John Wick franchise that follows a young female assassin who seeks revenge on those who killed her family. Listen to what she had to say about Reeves:
With Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and Anjelica Huston reprising their roles from previous films, de Armas headlines as the titular ballerina-assassin Rooney.

Filming kicked off in Prague last year, and saw de Armas take on a number of intensive combat scenes – including a sequence with the main man himself.
In an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, de Armas recalled how she'd been on set when she got news of her Golden Globe nomination for her turn in Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde, saying they’ll be shooting for another month.
“I’m still filming Ballerina, the John Wick spin-off,” she said, adding that Reeves was ‘awesome’ to work with.

De Armas continued: “We've been in Prague filming for four months. We still have one more month to go.
“And I'm in pain. You know, my body, my back, everything hurts.
“I'm complaining, I'm sore, I'm bruised."
When host Jimmy Fallon pointed out that she’d already nailed action scenes in No Time to Die, she said: “Well, Bond was fifteen minutes. This is a whole movie, another level.

“But the other day, Keanu and I were rehearsing our very difficult stunt scene, and this man is just rolling and throwing me and doing crazy stunts.
“And I'm like – I can't complain anymore, I’m done. Because he is doing it!”
De Armas said Reeves ‘never’ complains, adding: “He truly is the best.”

The star has been nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in Blonde, which was released last year and promised to 'boldly reimagine the life of one of Hollywood’s most enduring icons'.
The movie proved to be a controversial watch for some viewers, with some finding one scene involving an imagined conversation between Monroe and her unborn child a particularly difficult scene to digest.
While there was also some criticism for de Armas' gig, Monroe's estate defended the star from backlash - saying she 'was a great casting choice' to bring one of cinema's most iconic figures to life.
