Fans have gone through the trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and think they've worked out who is wearing the vibranium suit.
The next movie in Marvel's long-running cinematic universe of superheroes, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will pick up with the characters and world we were introduced to in 2018's Oscar-winning Black Panther.
The film is set to conclude 'phase four' of the MCU which has dealt with the aftermath of the events of Avengers: Endgame and kicked off 'the multiverse saga'.

Sadly, the movie will be sorely missing T'Challa actor Chadwick Boseman, who died in 2020 aged 43 of colon cancer.
The trailer for Wakanda Forever paid tribute to both character and actor, with the impressive legacy of Boseman's role as the titular Black Panther looming large over the film.

Such was Boseman's impact in the role that Marvel decided not to recast the role following his death, meaning the movie will have to deal with his character's loss.
Opening with scenes of a nation in mourning for T'Challa, the trailer is as much a send-off for Boseman as it is his character.
Hanging over everything is the burning question of who will step into the role of the Black Panther, Wakanda's superpowered protector in a suit of vibranium armour.
There has been plenty of speculation over who the next Black Panther will be and fans think they've figured out who will take on the mantle of the superhero.

While there are a few competing theories, the most popular one among fans is that T'Challa's younger sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) will succeed him just as she did in the comics.
Black Panther gave us an insight into Shuri's technological genius, developing weapons and equipment for T'Challa to use, but Wakanda Forever could see her don the armour herself.
Most fans reckon she's 'definitely' going to be the next Black Panther, though others think Lupita Nyong'o's Nakia could take on the role with one saying they would 'absolutely LOVE' to see her do it.
However, there could be a further twist in the tale as some fans watching the trailer became convinced that the final shot teased the return of Michael B Jordan's villain Killmonger.
Considering 'phase four' of the MCU is meant to usher in the multiverse it's not impossible that a Killmonger from another dimension could show up and take the place of the one who died at the end of Black Panther.

One of the big clues some fans think points towards his return is the gold trim on the Black Panther suit seen at the end of the trailer.
While T'Challa's armour was a muted set of black and silver, Killmonger donned a suit with golden adornments similar to the one seen in the teaser.
He's also the only other person in the MCU confirmed to have taken the special herb which confers powers upon the Black Panther, having destroyed all the rest in the first film.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to release in cinemas on 11 November.
