Breaking Bad is being rebooted into a new TV show set in Korea

Breaking Bad is being rebooted into a new TV show set in Korea

The show has already reportedly been given the green light for four seasons.

Breaking Bad might have ended years ago, but the show is now being turned into a K-drama.

Comicbook.com reported that the hit AMC series, which starred Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, is now being developed into a Korean series.

The remake will reportedly have four seasons and be directed by Lee Chang Yeol.

No one has been cast as of yet and very little is known about the production.

However, this isn’t the first time another country has adapted the popular series that follows Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, as a Colombian telenovela was produced in 2014.

The Spanish language remake, Metástasis, ran from 8 June 2014 to 18 September 2014, airing 62 episodes.

The show was praised for being able to churn out as many episodes as the original series at a much faster rate and on a lower budget.

Recently, Breaking Bad fans were delighted to see Cranston and Paul reunite for a Super Bowl LVII commercial for PopCorners.

Seeing these two share the small screen once again really tickled my pickle, even if it was just for popcorn chips.

I mean, their chemistry - haha, see what I did there - is second to none.

One person on Twitter wrote: “But.....this one.....being a huge Breaking Bad fan, feel this is the best Super Bowl commercial I've seen/remember.”

Another said: “Seeing this live rewired my brain chemistry.”

A third commented: “Yeah, I liked the T-Mobile commercial with John Travolta and the guys from Scrubs, but this was great.”

While another shared: "This is one of my favorite commercials. It's great to see the dynamic duo again.”

Despite fans buzzing, during an interview with Extra, Cranston believes this is the last time he’ll play White.

He’s officially hanging up the yellow lab coat.

He said: “This might be the retiring episode of the Breaking Bad universe.”

Cranston added: “I’ve had opportunities to bring Walter White into the milieu.

“I did it for Aaron’s movie El Camino and then once again for Better Call Saul we were able to come back and each time, we think, ‘We’ll this is the last time we’re ever going to do this and then PopCorners calls and it was like, ‘Well we’ll do it one more time.’”
