Christian Bale has revealed the one role he’s always wanted to play in the Star Wars franchise - and it’s a bit of a weird one.
The star is one of a few actors who have appeared in both the Marvel and DC Universes, having played Gorr the God Butcher in Thor: Love and Thunder and Batman in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy.
And it seems he’d be tempted to add another iconic franchise to his resume, if he was offered the correct role.

Because it turns out the Oscar-winning actor is a big fan of Star Wars, with Bale admitting to still having his collection of Star Wars toys from when he was a kid.
But if you think he's got his sights set high, then you'd be wrong, because during a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 48-year-old revealed that he’s always fancied played a pretty minor character having watched Star Wars ‘too many times’.
Bale said: “All I ever wanted in Star Wars was to be in a Star Wars outfit and hit my head on a door or something as I walked through.

“The real nerds who watched Star Wars way too many times always knew about that one scene where the Stormtrooper hits his head on the door as he comes through. I wanted to be that guy. That was it.
“But look, if I’m fortunate enough to be more than that, oh man, yeah. What a delight that would be. I’ve still got the figures from when I was little. I also know Kathy Kennedy very well because she was working with Spielberg when I did Empire of the Sun, and now, she runs the Star Wars universe.”
The identity of the head-whacking Stromtrooper is a part of Star Wars lore. So much so, it even spawned its very own fan documentary in 2019 with the incredible title The Empire Strikes Door.

In his documentary, YouTuber Jamie Stangroom reckoned he’d finally solved the enduring mystery.
Speaking ahead of the documentary’s release, he said: "I was starting to think that maybe some mysteries just aren't meant to be solved: the Loch Ness Monster, the Yeti, the Bigfoot – all of which theoretically could have been the Stormtrooper that bumped his head.
"But in the end, I think I may have just solved this geeky mystery once and for all."

Anyone else think it might be time for a spin-off series starring Bale?
