Daniel Radcliffe has admitted the movie he’s proudest of isn’t one from the franchise he’s most well-known for – in fact, it’s one of his more obscure titles.
For 10 years, Radcliffe starred in no fewer than eight Harry Potter films as the titular bespectacled wizard, in turn becoming one of the most famous young stars on the planet.
But since first sporting the lightning bolt scar in 2001’s first instalment, he’s gone on to forge a successful film career as an adult, too, having featured in the likes of The Woman in Black, Guns Akimbo and, more recently, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.

However, none of those flicks are the one that Radcliffe is most pleased with – that, it turns out, is the 2016 film in which he played a farting corpse.
Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, Swiss Army Man follows a man called Hank (Paul Dano) stranded on an island who ended up befriending a dead body (Radcliffe), with the two embarking on an adventure together.
Speaking to GQ about the project, Radcliffe said: “Everyone has a thing of, like, ‘That’s so crazy. It’s such a crazy idea. How did they convince you?’

“I was like, it seemed like, not a normal film – it’s obviously got some fantastical, crazy elements to it, but the combination of meeting them [the directors] and talking to them, seeing their videos and reading the script, I was just like, ‘Yeah, I want to be involved in this.’
“And I fully didn’t know what I was going to do as this character for the longest time. I had no idea what Manny was going to be and ultimately going to set and just sort of putting yourself in their hands – because they knew exactly what they wanted it to be.”

He added: “That truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had – and probably the film that I’m proudest of.”
And there’s one particular scene from Radcliffe’s back catalogue of movies that also sticks out for the actor as his best work – which just so happens to also be a sequence from the same movie.
He continued: “If I get hit by lightning tomorrow or something, if there’s one scene that I could pick from everything I’ve ever done to just be the thing that lasts after me, it would be the scene on the bus from Swiss Army Man.”
