Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox and Pete Davidson are all starring in a new stoner movie – "When life hits a new low, reach for a new high."
The stoner movie is a bit of a lost sub-genre. Gone are the days of Pineapple Express, Dude Where's My Car?, How High and pretty much anything from Cheech and Chong.
However, with the backing of MGK – going by his real name, Colson Baker – and Mod Sun, they could be making a comeback.
Good Mourning, the directorial debut of the Bloody Valentine singer and Mod Sun, stars Baker as London Ransom, a movie star whose life is upended by a sudden break-up text on one of the most important days of his life.

The synopsis (as per Variety) reads: "Compounded by chaotic roommates and wildly unpredictable twists and turns, London’s day keeps going downhill until ultimately, he is forced to choose between pursuing his one true love and landing a life-changing, starring role in a major motion picture."
Fox will star in the film – though it's only expected to be a cameo – while Davidson will make a special appearance alongside Becky G, Whitney Cummings, Dove Cameron, GaTa, Zach Villa, Jenna Boyd and Boo Johnson.
Tom Ortenberg, CEO of Open Road Films, said in a statement: "We are looking forward to bringing this wild comedy to audiences in theaters and at home on demand.

"The film is a reminder of how fun movies can be to make and watch. Colson and this incredible cast will bring audiences to their knees in laughter and leave their jaws on the floor."
Chris Long, a producer on the film and co-CEO of Cedar Park Studios, also said: "Our goal at Cedar Park Studios is to provide opportunities to fresh, creative voices in the industry and we couldn’t be more excited to be working with first-time filmmakers Colson and Mod.
"Bold in their approach, they have assembled a troupe of top-tier talent to join them on this hilarious ride. We’re ecstatic to be a part of their filmmaking debut."

A trailer for the film is expected soon, and fans are already excited. "I’m sorry for the person I will become when Good Mourning comes out," one user wrote, wile another tweeted: "Screaming and throwing up!"
Others aren't convinced, with one writing: "Machine Gun Kelly saw people saying Morbius was the worst movie of the year and decided to intervene."
Another wrote: "This will be the first movie to sell negative tickets."
Good Mourning will release later this year.
