Despite not reprising her role as the Mother of Dragons, Clarke has shared her excitement for the prequel. She said: "It's going to be weird as hell. I’m going to watch this as a fresh viewer because it’s [set] a be-jillion years before our show, so it’s going to feel different.”

While Harington will be busy working on the new show, Clarke will be joining the MCU, which Harington also joined when he appeared in 2021's Eternals. The actress is set to star in the Disney+ series Secret Invasion which is expected to revolve around Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos.

That’s so cool.’ Honestly speaking, the people that are making this are what pushed me over the line to really wanting to do it. I just think that everyone’s heart and heads are in the right place with this one.”
