If you were hoping for Euphoria to return to your screens soon, sadly you might have to wait just a little bit longer.
In fact, it is closer to a lot longer since filming for the third season hasn’t even begun yet.
Questions were then raised over Euphoria's future after it was announced that filming had been delayed earlier this year, leading to rumors sparking that season three had been cancelled altogether.
However, HBO CEO Casey Bloys has further confirmed in a recent interview with Variety that isn’t the case - so, fans can take a sigh of relief.

However, he did admit there would be some changes going forward and the season has run into some 'issues'.
Speaking about the show's third season, Bloys said that ‘Sam is working on it’ in reference to the creator and executive producer Sam Levinson.
“There’s been a lot of back and forth,” he said.

“One of the issues I think that Sam is thinking about is that he doesn’t want to have it in high school anymore. That’s where it was set and what made sense then.”
While some Euphoria fans might not be happy with that decision, it does make a lot sense as it'll get harder to believe that the very youthful cast are still teenagers - this isn’t a CW show after all.
Bloys continued: “So when you take it out of that, there’s a lot of back and forth about where to set it and how far in the future to set it and all that stuff.
"But I think he’s got a take that he’s excited about, and he’s busy writing.”

With that being said, questions have also arisen on whether the main cast would be returning at all - especially if season three plans to jump forward in time.
But fans can breathe a second sigh of relief as Bloys also confirmed that it would be same core cast remaining - so we can still expect to see Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney and Hunter Schafer back on our TV screens once more.
In March this year, HBO announced filming of season three was temporarily put on hold, however, stressed that a third season was still in the works.

At the time, the network explained this by releasing a statement saying: “HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season,”
“In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities.”
