Florence + the Machine's lead singer is in tears after her song was played in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3.

Now that the last James Gunn instalment of the Marvel film is out in cinemas, fans around the world are tearing up at the thought of it it being the final one.

Although the famous movie director recently revealed that there are about 600 different versions of the film, there's one moment that made it more emotional for Florence + the Machine fans.
We all know how important music is to a film - just imagine Star Wars without the theme tune. It would be pointless.
But one song that has captured the hearts of Guardians fans everywhere is Florence + the Machine‘s 'Dog Days Are Over'.

The 2008 track is one of the final ones heard in the movie and without spoiling anything, it's definitely one of the most uplifting moments in the film.
Lead singer Welch took to TikTok to show fans how emotional she was after hearing her famous song in the movie.
"So I cried all the way through this movie but when the The Guardians of the Galaxy started dancing to 'Dog Days' I really lost it," she wrote in the caption.
"Thank you so much for all the love for this moment.

Fans were equally as emotional, as one person wrote: "DOG DAYS IS IN GUARDIANS?? this has sold my ticket."
A second added: "The moment I heard the start of the song I yelled FLORENCE in the middle of the cinema hahahaha."

While a third said: "My daughter tapped me and said 'mom this song makes you happy, don't cry!'"
"I was hysterically sobbing during this scene because they played dog days 💛," another added.
As someone else agreed: "I was not expecting this song at the end, made me cry even more!"
Well the synopsis for the film is pretty emotional in itself - it reads: "Still reeling from the loss of Gamora, Peter Quill must rally his team to defend the universe and protect one of their own.
