A body double has explained what it is really like filming Hollywood’s steamiest scenes.
In case you hadn’t realized yet, actors don’t always film every scene of a movie.
Depending on the flick you might have stunt doubles, body doubles or stand-ins for a myriad of reasons.
So, it should come as no surprise that when it comes to sex scenes, many Hollywood A-listers go with a body double instead of getting nude for the whole world to see.

Laura Grady worked as a body double and has stepped in for many big name stars.
She was in 2000’s Coyote Ugly, where she was the body double for Piper Perabo in a sex scene with Adam Garcia. She filled in for Robin Wright in 2009’s State of Play and also Patricia Arquette in 2001’s Human Nature.
Explaining why she is used as a body double, Grady said: “It’s not that they don’t have great bodies; they all do.

“But sometimes they don’t have time to do a B-camera roll or something like that. It’s not always that the actress isn’t comfortable.”
She also spoke about one of her 'favorite' sex scenes she filmed back in 1999 when she filled in for Helena Bonham Carter in Fight Club.
The body double admitted: “Fight Club was my favorite by far. It was just incredible. There was so much work on that set; it was literally two weeks of just these scenes in bed! You cannot be shy.
“There was also a body double for Brad Pitt, so we spent two weeks with David Fincher on a set and green-screen, just reenacting all of those sex scenes.

“I did see Brad Pitt and Helena Bonham Carter throughout the day, but they were never in my scenes - the body doubles did their thing, and then Brad and Helena did their thing.”
So it is safe to say that actors don’t just sit in the room when their body doubles are getting to work giving tips saying ‘my hips wouldn’t move like that’, eh.
Grady continued: "David Fincher is just a master genius. He took so much time with us. He really, really cared about how we looked. And all those scenes - it was the most intricate sex scene I’ve ever done in my life. And it was pretty hard-core. We were all over each other, me and the body double. He wanted us to choreograph it, like a dance.

"He would come up with these phrases to give you ideas of what he wanted, like, ‘You’re in molasses,’ or ‘You’re in water, it’s streaming.’ And then when you see the movie, it’s just exactly that."
