As a New Year is upon us, quite a few of us are looking forward to wasting some time over the summer holidays watching films at the cinema - partly for the lurid animation and intense performances - but mostly for the popcorn.
After being bombarded by Christmas re-runs, film buffs are looking forward to another year of brand new releases that they can get stuck into and and insensately quote.
Whatever the reason might be, we know there’s going to be a lot of anticipation around the release of a particular new Paramount flick for more reason than one.
The feature- ‘IF’- hits the box office on 17th May, a week before originally scheduled, in an effort to avoid competition from the Spongebob Squarepants Sequel, which were originally set to hit cinemas in the same week.

Imaginary Friends, much to fans delight, sees beloved co-stars Steve Carell and John Krasinski reunite on screen in this Fantasy Comedy release – a decade after the actors first appeared alongside one another in The Office US.
Carrell spoke to Entertainment Tonight of his enjoyment of working with Krasinski once more, saying: ‘Well, I haven’t started working on the film with him yet, but I can’t wait I’m anticipating just joy and fun.
"I mean, he's the best, and he's a great director. I’ll put him through his paces, you know? I’ll make him work for it. I might be one of those persnickety actors that doesn’t always agree, or won’t come out of my trailer."

Adding: "You think you hired somebody that is a friend, but you got that wrong!"
And if the pairing of two of the more recognizable characters in cringe doesn’t do it for you, maybe funnyman Ryan Reynolds also being a part of the cast will, as he stars as the hero in the story.
The film's story description reads, "[If is] the tale of a man who can see and talk to people's imaginary friends, befriending those that have been forgotten or discarded. However, some imaginary friends, lacking love and friendship, turn to the dark side, and it's up to Reynolds' character to save the world from those that become evil."
