Katherine Schwarzenegger has defended her husband Chris Pratt, after he was dubbed the ‘worst’ Chris in Hollywood.
The Marvel actor was received the unpleasant title after a light-hearted meme went viral, showing him alongside Chris Pine, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth with the caption ‘one has to go’.
It led to Pratt being ‘soft-cancelled’ due to his increasingly conservative views, which have caused him to lose popularity over the last few years.

Whilst many of his colleagues have defended the actor, including director James Gunn, it is the first time his wife has spoken in depth about the incident.
In an interview with The New York Times, Schwarzenegger spoke about the backlash against her husband after the viral meme.
“I see what people say. I just know that it’s so far from the reality,” she told the publication, referring the comments on social media the couple received after the backlash.

Shortly after this, Pratt was at the centre of another media storm in 2021.
It came after The Guardians of The Galaxy star shared a birthday tribute to Schwarzenegger, with many believing it was a thinly veiled dig at his ex-wife Anna Faris.
In the post on Instagram, Pratt thanked Schwarzenegger for giving him a ‘healthy daughter’ despite the fact his son Jack suffers with complex health issues.

The little boy, whom Pratt shares with Faris, was born two months early and spent over a month recovering in the NICU after his delivery.
Having also watched her bodybuilder father Arnold be slated over his affair, Schwarzenegger admitted that she has become used to her loved ones receiving negative attention from the press.
“Growing up, hearing people say certain things about my parents, my siblings, my extended family...” she said, but added that she refused to comment after her mother warned her about risks involved with expressing her opinion.
Instead, Schwarzenegger has tried to focus on her career as a children’s author.

However, she has previously criticised others for sharing on the viral meme of her husband.
When Enews posted their version of the meme in 2020, Schwarzenegger defended her husband in the comments.
She wrote: “Is this really what we need? There's so much going on in the world and people are struggling in so many ways,”.

Continuing, she added: “Being mean is so yesterday. There's enough room to love all these guys. Love is what we all need not meanness and bullying. Let's try that.”
