Lady Gaga has broken the internet by giving us the first look at the Joker sequel.
The singer posted an image of her character, Harley Quinn, being pushed up against a wall by Joaquin Phoenix's Arthur Fleck/Joker.
It's safe to say the situation looks intense as Fleck is dressed in his iconic villain makeup while Quinn has a terror in her eyes.

She gets caught up in her patient's charisma and charm and winds up ditching her job to join him on a rampage of madness and mayhem.
It's believed that Gaga's version of Quinn would exist in a different DC universe than Margot Robbie's take on the character, who appeared in The Suicide Squad, as well as several other films.
Robbie had nothing but praise and celebration for Gaga to take over the role.
"It makes me so happy because I said from the very beginning, all I want is for Harley Quinn to be one of those characters, the way like Macbeth or Batman always gets passed from great actor to great actor," the Aussie actor told MTV.

"It’s such an honour to have built a foundation strong enough that Harley can now be one of those characters that other actors get to have a go at playing."
Director Todd Phillips has previous form with Lady Gaga too, having been the producer on romantic musical drama A Star Is Born which starred the singer alongside Bradley Cooper in 2018.

The success of the original Joker was something of a surprise to Warner Bros.
Its dark and moody character piece cut a different tone from many of the current crop of superhero movies and as a result was only budgeted at $60 million with cautious projections over its box office success.
However, come opening weekend and Joker was a record breaker, before eventually ending its theatrical run as the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time.
It then earned 11 Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, with Hildur Guðnadóttir winning Best Score alongside Phoenix's Best Actor nod.
