There's one movie Leonardo DiCaprio really regrets not doing in his career, and it turns out his role would have had him playing a porn star.
Yes, you read that right, Leonardo DiCaprio really wishes he'd taken the opportunity to play a porn star when the moment came.

It turns out that the film he really wishes he'd done was 1997 film Boogie Nights, where he would have played main character Eddie Adams, who ends up embarking on a career as porn star 'Dirk Diggler'.
While this is a role DiCaprio really wanted to do, he had to turn it down to star in Titanic, a move which turned out alright for him in the end.
Speaking to GQ, DiCaprio said he regretted not being able to play a porn star in Boogie Nights, though he recognised that it was probably for the best in regards to his career.

He said: "Boogie Nights is a movie I loved, and I wish I would've done.
"I would have been happy to do them both. And the truth is, if I’d not done Titanic, I wouldn't be able to do the types of movies or have the career I have now, for sure.
"But it would have been interesting to see if I had gone the other way."
In the end, DiCaprio was too busy making Titanic and the porn star role he wanted to play went to Mark Wahlberg instead.

Considering how his career has gone since then, it's hard to say he made the wrong decision, though he can always wonder what might have been.
Titanic made him 'king of the world' and his career has only gone from strength to strength since then as the star has packed out his time with a damn impressive filmography.
While he made an Oscar-winning turn in The Revenant, DiCaprio also recently starred in disaster movie Don't Look Up and he has teamed up with legendary director Martin Scorsese for movies Killers of the Flower Moon and The Wager.

And speaking of career regrets, while Boogie Nights is a movie DiCaprio regrets not doing, he does regret doing Don's Plum, a movie he shot with Tobey Maguire back in the 90s which he didn't even want to be released.
After much legal wrangling, the movie eventually ended up getting banned from being released in the US and Canada.
