The trailer for season three of The Mandalorian has dropped and it looks like we're going to see plenty more of Baby Yoda, or Grogu now that we actually know his name.
Last we left off with Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his little green friend in The Mandalorian season two they were having a heartbreaking parting of the ways as Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill & Max Lloyd-Jones) took him to be trained as a Jedi.
However, that didn't last very long (which is pretty handy considering what's coming for Luke's Jedi academy further down the timeline) and Grogu decided to return to life travelling the galaxy with Mando.

This story was told in the middle of The Book of Boba Fett, with the pair showing up to help Boba (Temuera Morrison) out in a climactic battle at the end of his series.
Now back together again and with a shiny new starship to replace the tragically destroyed Razorcrest, everyone's favourite Star Wars duo have a third season of adventures awaiting.
In the trailer our titular Mandalorian vows to journey to Mandalore seeking forgiveness, though that could bring him into conflict with fellow Mandalorian Bo Katan (Katee Sackhoff), who we spotted in the throne room in a previous trailer.

While they started out as allies, Mando and Bo Katan could be heading for conflict as he possesses the Darksaber, won from the villainous Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) in battle at the end of season two of The Mandalorian.
Whomever possesses the Darksaber has the right to rule Mandalore and by ancient tradition it must be won through combat, so Bo Katan was pretty miffed when Mando ended up winning it for himself without knowing the significance of what he'd done.
Fortunately for Mando, if there's going to be some dangerous confrontations he can count on the help of little Baby Yoda at his side, especially as he's developing an impressive set of force powers.

The trailer delights in showing some of these off, as the child comes face to face with a monstrous beast in a cave and throws it out using the force.
We saw Grogu getting trained in the use of his powers by Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) during season two of The Mandalorian and by Luke in The Book of Boba Fett, so it's safe to say the little guy is getting much better at harnessing his incredible ability.
You will still have a bit of a wait until the next season of The Mandalorian releases, so now might be a good time to catch up with other Star Wars offerings you might have missed.
The Mandalorian season three releases on Disney+ on 1 March.
