If you are little bored of the usual repeats of the classics you've been watching in recent weeks, you may be looking for something new.
And while there has been a lot released on all the different streaming platforms as of late, one particular upcoming show is standing out to Marvel fans.

That being Secret Invasion, a present day-set MCU project featuring Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury as he 'learns of a secret invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls'.
Alongside Jackson are Martin Freeman, Cobie Smulders, and Ben Mendelsohn, as 'together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity'.
Completing the stacked cast are Kingsley Ben-Adir, Charlayne Woodard, Killian Scott, Samuel Adewunmi, Dermot Mulrone, Don Cheadle, Christopher McDonald, Katie Finneran, Emilia Clarke and Olivia Colman.

As for upstairs, Ali Selim directs all six Disney+ episodes, while he also serves as an executive producer.
It all sounds pretty exciting with all those big names, right? But unfortunately, Secret Invasion has not reviewed particularly well, in comparison to other Marvel projects at least.
Secret Invasion currently sits at a 69 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, after 42 critics reviews on the site.
While that rating still earns it the 'Fresh' tag on Rotten Tomatoes - essentially meaning it is a recommendation - Secret Invasion currently ranks the lowest of any Marvel Disney+ show, and that is still a few days before launch.

Some examples of Marvel Disney+ shows that have achieved a higher rating include The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (84%), Loki (92%), What If? (94%) and MS. Marvel (98%).
It should also be worth noting only the first two episodes of Secret Invasion were seen by press for review, with four more on the way.
While some critics have described the first two episodes as too slow and 'lacklustre', that doesn't mean the next four are going to go the same way.

As for critic reviews, the Daily Telegraph said: "Jackson used to bring a raffish pizzaz to even his darker parts. Here, he seems as fed up with the Marvel formula as a growing segment of the audience."
Meanwhile, the London Evening Standard had some kinder words for its review, writing: "It’s fun enough. This is a Marvel show, after all, which means it’s a slick and polished affair that speeds along, throwing in Easter eggs and zingers with abandon for the fans to savour."
Secret Invasion is scheduled to be released on Disney+ on 21 June.
