Millie Bobby Brown has largely avoided being caught up in controversies throughout her career... except one incident in which she claimed the Earth was flat.
It all started during a 2018 live stream when the young star was around 14 years old. The Stranger Things actress was asked by a fan whether she thought our home planet was flat.

In the four years that have passed since the live stream, fans are still in disbelief that the young Hollywood star seemingly came out as a ‘flat Earther’.
At the time, Brown said she had watched a video by YouTuber Shane Dawson about the theory, saying: “Guys, there are so many facts that it’s flat.
“I mean think about it, like think about it okay. Guys I don’t even know, I think I am a – what do they call it? Um. A flat – I think they call it a flat Earther,” she said.

Now, the Enola Holmes 2 actress has once again addressed her viral moment in Vanity Fair’s Lie Detector Test – but her response is just as confusing.
When asked if she still believes the theory, Brown quickly said ‘no’ – and gives the lie detector technician an awkward look – but while the lie detector verified her response as true, the 18-year-old followed-up her answer claiming she has never actually seen the curve of the Earth while on an airplane.
The technician giving the test steps in, reminding the star that she’s likely seen satellite pictures of a curved planet.
Theories about the shape of the Earth date back to ancient human civilisations where they once believed the planet was a flat plane.

Modern science has proven that the Earth is a sphere but following the rise of social media, a whole new community of flat-Earthers have embraced the outdated theories about the Blue Planet’s shape.
In other news, Brown said the real person she'd like to play in a biopic is the Princess of Pop, Britney Spears.
Brown made the revelation as the pair discussed what it was like to grow up in the spotlight during a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.

Barrymore asked Brown what her career goals are, and without missing a beat, she said that she would like to play a real person for a change.
"I think [Britney's] story, first of all, resonates with me growing up in the public eye. Watching her videos, watching interviews of her when she was younger," she explained.
Unfortunately for Brown, a biopic probably won't happen if Spears has a say in the matter, after she responded to reports of a film about her life by reminding everyone she's 'not dead'.
