Ms. Marvel is currently Marvel Studios' highest-rated production ever - and the news seems to have taken fans by surprise.
In 2014, the Ms. Marvel comic book - on which the Disney+ series is based - made history by introducing the first ever Muslim superhero to headline a Marvel story.
The TV series stars 19-year-old Pakistan-born Canadian actress Iman Vellani, who admitted to UNILAD that she 'was in shock' when she got the role.
And it seems everyone involved was onto a good thing, as the show has managed to rack up the highest ratings of any Marvel Studios production thus far on Rotten Tomatoes.

At the time of writing, the critics' rating is a whopping 98 percent, which means that the series has dethroned Black Panther's score of 96 percent.
However, the average audience score so far is 80 percent, which definitely differs from the critics.
As you might expect, social media was quick to react to the news.
Comparing it to some Marvel and non-Marvel big hitters of recent years, one person wrote: "How the hell does it have a higher rating than The Boys, Stranger Things and Breaking Bad?

"It's not even as good as Moon Knight or Loki."
Another said: "That’s crazy cause I never found this show to be particularly good? I mean the episodes 4 and 5 do have some good stuff but felt rushed.
"1 and 2 feel like a complete different show, 3 was alright. Besides the world and power building, idk i wouldn’t have thought it was this good."
While a third commented: "Look I really enjoyed Ms Marvel but 98%!? HUH!?

"M8 I'd give 75% at best. If the 2nd half didn't enter cringe territory and was as good as its first half then I think ut deserves somewhere in the early 80's but 98? Wtf!?
"Dude. Breaking Bad has 96%, The Boys 93%. How tf!?"
On the other hand, many were also full of praise for the show.

One wrote: "this show was so much fun! thank you @Marvel for giving the world #MsMarvel. "
"Thank you to the cast & whole production crew, writers, directors for doing such stellar jobs & opening the world's eyes to people and places that aren't normally front/centre in a positive way."
Another added: "Yes! Everything from the music choices to the portrayal of family dynamics to the Partition newsreel was perfection. I'm not going to argue where it belongs in the rankings, I'm just going to say that I enjoyed it completely."
A synopsis for Ms Marvel reads: "Kamala is a superhero fan with an imagination, particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel; Kamala feels like she doesn't fit in at school and sometimes even at home, that is until she gets superpowers like the heroes she's looked up to."
