The new family of the adopted girl accused of being a 22-year-old dropped a bombshell in a shocking twist revealed on Wednesday (3 January) night's episode of The Curious Case of Natalia Grace.
The story of Natalia Grace took the world by storm in 2023, when the documentary detailing her adoption by Michael and Kristine Barnett arrived on our screens.
The Barnett's made a series of allegations in the show - alleging that the Ukrainian orphan was not a six-year-old child when they adopted her in 2010 but rather an adult who was masquerading as a minor.
The family also claimed Natalia had tried to harm them, and cited alleged 'evidence' which they claim proved that she was older than six-years-old.

Eventually, the family decided to legally change Natalia's age to make her 22-years-old, and took her to an apartment to live by herself while they moved to Canada.
The Barnett's were charged with neglect of a dependent - but Michael was found not guilty and the charges against Kristine were dropped.
Natalia was then given a chance to tell her side of the story in the follow-up, Natalia Speaks, where she claimed that she was victimized by her adoptive parents - accusing them of 'ruining her life'.
And things looked to be on the up for Natalia as the Mans family decided to adopt her.

However, the closing minute of the Investigation Discovery show heard her new adoptive parents, Antwon and Cynthia Mans, beginning to mistrust Natalia.
"Something ain't right with Natalia. This girl is tweakin," Antwon said to the show's producers.
"I feel like she's the enemy in the house. And she said to us, we have held her hostage. Made us look like we're the enemy."

"Natalia is stabbing her family in the back over a complete lie," Cynthia chimed in.
Her husband went on to say: "She's done other things too, but this was a new low. Natalia does not have emotions for nothing but herself.
"We're done. We're done with her."
"Natalia's story will continue," a title card then concluded.

Elsewhere in the documentary, Natalia spoke to medical professionals to determine her real age once and for all.
The new series sees Natalia admit that she did tell people she was 22-years-old, but only because Kristine allegedly 'trained her to lie'.
She describes the changing of her age as the 'worst' thing the Barnetts ever did to her, adding that she 'trusted [the family] too fast'.

“They ruined a kid’s life," Natalia said in one episode.
It is unclear when the next episode of The Curious Case of Natalia Grace will be released - but it's surely got everyone on the edge of their seats.
