Netflix is reportedly set to reboot The Chronicles of Narnia, with Barbie director Greta Gerwig directing two films.
Gerwig's latest directorial work with the much-anticipated Warner Bros. Barbie flick is set to hit the silver screen later this month (21 July).
The 39-year-old already has an impressive filmography under the belt with her break-out success of Lady Bird, which went on to rake in an impressive five Oscar nominations, including best director and best screenplay, alongside Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women all before hopping on one of the most talked-about movies of the year with the Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling-fronted Barbie.

It was a few years back in 2018 when Netflix first announced the exciting news that it had finally acquired the film and TV rights to the iconic book series.
"Families have fallen in love with characters like Aslan and the entire world of Narnia, and we’re thrilled to be their home for years to come," said Managing Director of Netflix, Ted Sarandos, at the time of the reveal.
