So many films come out that it's easy to miss a few gems, but some viewers are shining light on films and shows on Netflix they say deserve their time in the limelight.

Unless you watch films and series’ for a living, chances are you are going to miss some releases.

With the prominence of streaming, while it is easier than ever to get the popcorn and settle in for a film or show binge, it's never been easier to fall out of the loop and miss a few gems.

LADbible's Netflix Bangers group on Facebook is often full of discussions on what viewers should watch next, but one user decided to shoutout some films and shows that went under the radar.

Sure, you might have heard of or even watched a couple of these, but chances are you haven’t seen them all. Check them out:

Nowhere

Released in 2023, the Spanish-language film sees a pregnant woman stuck inside a shipping container in the middle of the ocean as her husband attempts to locate her.

I’d imagine being pregnant and loss at sea come with their own complications on their own, probably not the best combo in reality but seems great for a thriller.

Fatal Seduction

South African series Fatal Seduction has been recommended by Netflix viewers.
Netflix

Another 2023 underappreciated TV show, Fatal Seduction follows a married woman as she goes on an increasingly dangerous weekend trip that sparks desire and chaos. Ultimately forcing her to question whether the people she cares about around her are telling the truth

Despite the praise from some fans, there were some who were less than impressed with the South African thriller series and insisted it was a carbon copy of a Spanish show.

Virgin River

Virgin River is a heartfelt romance drama.
Netflix

Released in 2019, Virgin River seemed to fly well under the radar as a heartfelt romance drama.

The Netflix original centers on a nurse practitioner who moves from Los Angeles to a remote Northern California town as she seeks a fresh start.

The TV show was successful enough to merit 5 seasons and in December 2023, a showrunner said he saw no end in sight for the series

Dear Child

Dear Child is available on Netflix now.
Netflix

Also released in 2023, the German TV mini-series also left viewers stressed.

The story, based on the original bestselling book, focuses on the story of a woman who is hit by a car as she flees through the woods, before waking up in hospital in a seriously bad state.

Upon waking, she doesn’t know where she was, how long she’s been out, or even what her name is.

Our Souls at Night

Our Souls at Night stars Robert Redford and Jane Fonda.
Netflix

The film was released in 2017 and proved to be a sweet story of romance between two elderly widows.

Starring Robert Redford and Jane Fonda as leads, the pair bring the story of two virtual strangers come together and form a relationship after losing their loved ones.

Pact of Silence

Pact of Silence is a brilliant story of revenge.
Netflix

Another show to watch with subtitles, unless you speak fluent Spanish. Pact of Silence hit Netflix in 2023 and follows a story of revenge.

A social media influencer invades the lives of four women to discover which one of them abandoned her at birth and uncover the reason why.

Deliver Us from Evil

Deliver us from Evil focusses on a New York police officer, played by Eric Bana, as he investigates a series of crimes with a priest.
Netflix

We are going far back with this film as it was released in Netflix’s earlier streaming days of 2014.

The crime horror film focusses on a New York police officer, played by Eric Bana, as he investigates a series of crimes.

To uncover the truth, he joins forces with an unconventional priest who is schooled in the rites of exorcisms as the pair attempt to rid the evil gripping the city.

Painkiller

The 2023 mini series focuses on the opioid crisis in the US.
Netflix

A 2023 TV-mini series, Painkiller focuses on one of the most talked about issues in American politics of today, the ongoing opioid crisis.

The show looks at the causes and consequences of the epidemic as it follows the perpetrators, victims and an investigator hoping to uncover the truth.

Lupin

Lupin follows a gentleman thief in Paris as he attempts to avenger his father.
Netflix

Probably the most popular show on the list of 10 but there are still many who haven’t tuned in to the adventures of Arsène Lupin.

The TV series, released in 2021, follows a gentleman thief in Paris as he attempts to avenger his father and an injustice he faced at the hands of a wealthy family.

S.W.A.T

The series follows a S.W.A.T sergeant and his highly trained team of men and women solve a series of crimes across Los Angeles.
Netflix

Easily the longest running show included on the list as the TV series initially released in 2017 and is still going strong and has recently begun airing its seventh season.

It seems this action packed series does what it says on the tin. A S.W.A.T sergeant and his highly trained team of men and women solve a series of crimes across Los Angeles.

So with that list, you can hardly complain you have got nothing to watch now can you.
