Finding something to watch on Netflix can be overwhelming but social media can be a big help sometimes.

Ask other viewers for recommendations, and you'll get plenty of great suggestions.

This tends to happen a lot in the Facebook group Netflix bangers with enthused fans recommending shows they just can’t get enough of.

In a recent post, fans are still saying how good a certain series is, despite the first season being released back in 2017.

The show in question is Dark, which was the first German-speaking original series developed by the streaming giant.

A synopsis for the first season reads: "When two children go missing in a small German town, its sinful past is exposed along with the double lives and fractured relationships that exist among four families as they search for the kids.

"The mystery-drama series introduces an intricate puzzle filled with twists that includes a web of curious characters, all of whom have a connection to the town's troubled history - whether they know it or not. The story includes supernatural elements that tie back to the same town in 1986."

One fan described it as: “One of the best Netflix series’ ever made.”

Another comment insisted you had to be pretty smart to keep up with the twists and turns of the story.

“It needs a high IQ or else you'll get lost in the DARK,” a person commented.

“What’s the best Netflix original of all time and why is it DARK?" another wrote.

“I asked for a show and they gave me a puzzle to solve ..and after first season I said naaaah...am not ready to rack my brain out,” joked another.

“DARK. An absolute Masterpiece. And yeah it's boring for people having low IQ,” teased another.

The show also faired well with critics as Dark has an impressive 95% critic score as well as a 94% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, making it a must watch for subscribers.
