Another day, another film recommendation - however, viewers have insisted that this one is highly 'underrated'.
And even better, it's an underrated horror film set in Paris.
Netflix has been on a roll lately with scary creatures lurking beneath the French capital city - as 2024's Under Paris has been a smash-hit with viewers, with some even going as far as to call it a '10/10'.

But instead of a giant shark terrorising swimmers in the river Seine, it's a documentary crew going to literal Hell and back in the Paris Catacombs.
It was also written and directed by the same guy responsible for a little-known Owen Wilson film that had viewers 'literally shouting at their TV'.
If that piques your interest, then you can check the trailer for As Above So Below out here:
As Above So Below is a found footage horror film which follows a group of archeologists as they journey into the Paris Catacombs - however, in typical found-footage style, nothing goes right for them.

The film's main protagonist, scholar Scarlett Marlowe (Perdita Weeks) leads her documentary crew into an unknown part of the Catacombs.
In real life, there are strict rules about not entering the parts which are closed off, with The Independent reporting that secret entrances do exist through sewers, the Metro and manholes.
However, while down there, the hapless group encounter cultists, ghosts, a Templar knight, and even demons while searching for the elixir of life in a loose adaption of Dante's 14-century poem, Divine Comedy.
When the film came out in 2014, it was met with negative reviews and is currently rated 28 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

However, after Under Paris' release on Netflix, people on social media are reminding others to check out As Above So Below.
One person wrote: "No one talks about As Above So Below enough. It was the first film to ever get permission to film in the Paris Catacombs, the location scouts had to go chest deep into water at times under stone ceilings, they filmed for WEEKS at a time underground."
Another said: "As above, so below is such an underrated horror film. it’s extremely intriguing, smart, and there are so many layers to it."

A third commented: "I love Mr. Jones and As Above, So Below.... looking to get back into them for the season."
