Viewers have slammed the director of Netflix's hit series Monster for creating an incest scene while portraying a story based on real life.
The streaming giant has just released the second season of the hit TV series that brought us Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story two years ago.
In the second series of the show, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story focuses on brothers Lyle and Erik Menendez, who were convicted of murdering their mom and dad while at their family home in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, back in 1989.
The brothers shot 15 bullets into 45-year-old José Menendez, and his 47-year-old wife Kitty Menendez.

While on trial, Lyle and Erik claimed they were subject to years of physical, emotional and sexual abuse by their parents and that was why they killed them, but prosecutors alleged that they did so for money from their parent's $14.5 million estate, according to Forbes.
After being found guilty of first-degree murder by a jury, both brothers were sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.
The nine-part true crime series depicts the events leading up to the murders.
However, viewers have found an 'incestuous' scene between the brothers a bit disturbing.

The scene in question shows the boys, played by Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch, affectionately kissing, and many were quick to jump to social media to share their outrage - especially towards the show's creator, Ryan Murphy.
One user took to Twitter to say: "Ryan Murphy is going to hell and I’m not even kidding this man is sick in the head," adding that 'creating some sort of incest storyline' between the two brothers is 'so beyond sick and twisted it makes me want to throw up'.
Another viewer called it 'horrid', while a third wrote: "Wtfff that’s sick."

And fourth said: "This is so vile...."
However, some were quick to defend Murphy and to explain their interpretation of the interaction.
One person wrote: "Ryan Murphy will always Ryan Murphy with his projects, but it’s important to remember when watching #MonstersNetflix that this is how the Menendez brothers actually were with each other.

"Their emotional codependent behaviour and weird boundaries stemmed from shared SA trauma."
While another commented: "Ryan isn’t portraying the brothers as lovers or having an incestuous relationship he’s showing that sexual abuse they experienced skewed their mindset [when] it came to love & sex."
LADbible Group has contacted a representative of Ryan Murphy for comment.
