For me, finishing a binge-worthy Netflix show feels like there is suddenly a hole in my life.

Without even consciously realising, I become reliant on that show, knowing that at the end of each day I have a few episodes to tear through.

When you finish it, the easiest way to fill that hole? Find the next show!

Fans of The 100 have found themselves in that position, after one viewer said how they’d been watching it for ‘10 hours straight’.

Though the show came out back in 2014, concluding in 2020, it has seen a second life since being added to Netflix.

One comment even went as far to call it ‘one of the best shows ever’.

When you’ve finished The 100 though, bad news - the show has no more planned seasons or a reboot.

Fans on the subreddit r/The100 came together to discuss what show viewers should binge-watch next, and one name stood above the others - and you can watch it on Netflix.

The top comment read: “Snowpiercer (post apocalyptic, new ice age, political and power struggle)”.

For those asking: 'Wait isn’t that a movie not a show?' Yes and no.

Snowpiercer was originally just an outstanding Bong Joon Ho film starring Chris Evans from 2013, however in 2020 a TV version came to Netflix with Sean Bean, Daveed Digg, and Jennifer Connelly.

The show follows a similar plot the film, following a group of people on a train in perpetual motion broken up by class, with the rich people at the front living lavish lives – and those at the back of the train fighting for scraps and starving.

One review of the show on IMDb called it ‘dystopian intrigue that leaves you thinking’, giving it a 9/10.

They said: “This show is interesting and leaves you wanting to know more about the setting. Is it an award winner - no. Is it entertaining and suspenseful - yes. Does the intrigue make you want to keep watching – absolutely.

“I've now watched 4 episodes and I'm hooked”.

The show released to mixed reviews, however developed a cult fanbase amongst fans, leading to four seasons, with the final one’s premiere releasing this past Sunday, July 21.

Many believe the second is the peak of the show, having found its stride, with it receiving a score of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Allison Keene, writing for Paste Magazine, said in their season two review: “Snowpiercer Season 2 is a realigned but richer experience. It still feels like a mirror, though in different ways than before.”

Whether you’re a fan of The 100 or just after a new Netflix series to binge this weekend, here’s your answer.
