It follows South Korean heiress Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin) who is involved in a freak paragliding accident which sees her crash-land into North Korea’s Demilitarized Zone.

There, she’s discovered by Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok (Hyun Bin), a principled officer from an elite military family.

Rather than turn her in, Jeong-hyeok hides Se-ri in his rural village home and vows to help her return south in secret.

The series is aptly titled Crash Landing on You - and has racked up a perfect 100 percent Rotten Tomatoes from critics.

Joly Herman from Common Sense Media said it was 'not to miss,' adding: "There's a reason it's in the top tier among the all-time greatest K-dramas - the writing, the situations, and the performances, are fantastic."

Anthony Kao from Cinema Escapist described it as 'an infectiously amusing inter-Korean love story that'll please both romance fans and those interested in geopolitics'.

Meanwhile, Joel Keller from Decider urged people to 'stream it because of the lead performances'.

Audience members also gave it a dazzling 97 percent.

"For all the romantics out there, it does not get much better!" one fan declared, adding: "I've seen it multiple times because it's like comfort food."

A second added: "Holy tear-jerker of a show, but filled with laughter as well. I love this K-drama. Acting is great all-around."

The discussion continued over on Reddit, where one social media user asked if they should give the show a watch.

One eager fan responded: "1000% yes. It’s incredible. I say this still after rewatching it more than six times.

"Give it at least 2-3 episodes and you’ll be sucked in. No other show has been able to top it for me."
