And no, we're not talking about Dept Q this time.

While there are constantly new releases joining Netflix's bumper catalogue, this one should most certainly be on your watch-list.

The series we're referring to has been viewed for a total of 33.1 million hours, making it the most-watched non-English TV series between June 2 and 8, according to figures from Netflix Tudum.

The Italian cities of Rome and Naples serve as the stunning backdrop of this 'powerful' mini-series.

The story, meanwhile, follows Sara, (Teresa Saponangelo) a former secret service agent who resurfaces from years in hiding after the mysterious death of her son.

Isolated and grieving, she turns to her old friend and ex-partner Teresa (Claudia Gerini) for help.

But favors in this world come with strings - and consequences.

Sara, once legendary for her stealth, is pulled back into an industry she thought she'd left behind.

What begins as a search for answers soon unravels into a dangerous investigation, revealing the hidden life her son kept from her, and the enemies still watching.

The series in question is called Sara - Woman in the Shadows, and you can catch its trailer below.

Posting to Reddit, one viewer admitted: "Just started this last night and had to pry myself away from the TV this morning mid episode two!

"Great calm watch with a spiral staircase of suspense with a pace just quick enough to keep you on the edge of your seat!"

Hailing the series as 'compelling,' another wrote: "I really enjoyed this Italian crime drama... The whole cast really created a worth while drama experience."

Sara has so far racked up a score of 6.4 over on IMDb, as one viewer admitted: "I've watch a lot of European series and normally Italian ones take 15 minutes to make a point. But this is the very best I've seen. The story, cast, filming - is excellent."
