Lindsay Lohan's latest Christmas movie has caused quite the stir with an 'insane' 10-year montage just minutes in.

The queen of Netflix festive hits has returned alongside Pretty Little Liars star Ian Harding for this year's cheery instalment.

Having released on November 27, the rom-com has climbed the global movie charts and is currently claiming the top spot.

Lohan and Harding star as exes who, a decade after splitting, are forced to spend Christmas under the same roof - all because their current partners are siblings. What are the chances, right!?

Although that's not the craziest part of the movie, called Our Little Secret, by a long shot.

Some fans were horrified - while others were mesmerised - just minutes in, when a montage depicting some major events from the last 10 years played out.

If you reckon fitting all of that into a 75-second sequence is ambitious, you're right.

The moments Netflix included has divided fans on social media.

Highlights include The ALS ice bucket challenge, the legalization of same sex marriage, Stranger Things breaking Netflix records and Megan and Harry’s wedding.

The Notre Dame fire, Elon Musk unveiling the Cybertruck, NASA's Perseverance rover landing on Mars and the Suez Canal incident were also among the worthy mentions.

Taking to X, fans were quick to share their reaction.

One fan said: "The '10 years have passed' montage at the beginning of Our Little Secret is the most insane thing I’ve ever seen," as a second agreed: "The 10-year montage... has some very insane choice highlights."

Some thought the sequence was a little too self-indulgent of Netflix.

The Cut's Danielle Cohen called out the three Netflix headlines in the montage - which you can watch below - describing the move 'an exaggeration of the streamer’s impact on culture in the past decade.'

One person agreed: "absolutely losing my mind at Netflix’s Our Little Secret intro montage set to Calvin Harris that goes through the decade of 'newsworthy' things like the legalization of gay marriage but then includes 'Netflix’s hit show Stranger Things is the most streamed.'"

But the opening credits made some people feel sentimental, as one person reflected: "Listen, this montage of the years going by a few minutes into 'Our Little Secret' #Netflix, really puts things into perspective. We've lived through A LOT."

Our Little Secret is available to stream now on Netflix.
