One psychological thriller on Netflix is apparently so scary, viewers say they're 'unable to breathe.'
The streaming platform is really treating fans at the moment, whether you love sci-fi movies or dystopian shows to binge-watch away a weekend, Netflix has got you covered.
More recently, the fifth and final season of the crime thriller featuring our favorite serial killer, Joe Goldberg played by Penn Badgley in You came to the platform, after Charlie Brooker thew us into an existential crisis again with the seventh series of Black Mirror.

Plus, we also have another 'nail-biter', as described by none other than the King of Horror himself, Stephen King, in Matt Palmer's Calibre.
Now, horror fans say they've been left gasping for air after watching a terrifying sci-fi movie which follows the story of a woman quite similarly struggling to breathe.
The thriller, starring French actress Melanie Laurent, starts with a young woman waking up in an airtight cryogenic unit, where she realizes she is trapped while her oxygen levels are rapidly falling.

The woman can't remember who she is or how she got there - and only has the help of an AI voice to help her fight for her life.
The movie we're raving about is Oxygen, directed by Alexandre Aja (Piranha, Crawl) and released to our screens in 2021.
The French movie scored some impressive reviews when it came out, and bagged an incredible 90 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes where critics call it a 'white-knuckle' and 'claustrophobic' must-see.
Fans have taken to social media to share their own thoughts about the movie, with one writing it was 'easily one of my favorite films of the year'.

"Unbelievably good," they added. "All the proof that all you need is a really good story. Can't say enough about it."

"Next time you're scrolling for something to watch on Netflix, check out Alexandre Aja's OXYGEN," wrote another. "It's a movie with big ideas but no matter how large the scope gets, it remains impressively intimate & confined to a single location. Clever & tense. Mélanie Laurent is terrific."
"Such an intense ride of a film," wrote a third.

A fourth also said: "I watched the movie Oxygen on Netflix last night. A woman wakes up in a cryogenic chamber with no memory, and her oxygen is running out. Gripping, some nail-biting scenes and a great performance from Mélanie Laurent - but maybe don't watch it if you're claustrophobic..."
"Oxygen isn’t really a horror film, but it does deliver a similar case of uneasiness," read another critic's review.
Oxygen is now available to watch on Netflix.
