Fans of crime dramas have suggested some of their favourite shows about drug dealers, and one is not what you might expect.
There is no shortage of shows which follow the lives and exploits of people who sell narcotics for a living.
From shows which take a more realist and in depth look at the wider social implications of drug dealing, such as The Wire, to character-focussed dramas charting one individual's journey like with Breaking Bad.

There are also more tongue-in-cheek shows which take a more comedic approach, or the more action focussed shows as well.
But despite both The Wire and Breaking Bad being the obvious contenders for the top spot when it comes to shows about dealing drugs, many people had a lot of other suggestions about which they think should be up there as the best drug dealing show.
And there was one crime show in particular which came up which was not what you would expect to be there.

So what is this show which has been called the best one about drug dealing on Netflix?
It's called Power, and follows the story of smooth and ruthless drug dealer James St. Patrick who uses the alias 'Ghost' in his criminal career.
Starring Omari Hardwick as Ghost, the series ran for six seasons between 2014 and 2020.

It was made by Courtney A. Kemp in collaboration with Curtis Jackson, more widely known by his stage name 50 Cent.
While the show came to a close in 2020, a prequel series called Origins was announced this year.
This will take a look at the characters at earlier points in their lives, including a look at a young Ghost before he becomes the man we see in the original series.
